Stock Aitken Waterman (abbreviated as SAW) are an English songwriting and record producing trio consisting of Mike Stock, Matt Aitken, and Pete Waterman. The trio had great success from the mid-1980s through the early 1990s. SAW is considered to be one of the most successful songwriting and producing partnerships of all time, scoring more than 100 UK top 40 hits, selling 40 million records and creating some of the biggest stars such as Kylie Minogue, Rick Astley and Jason Donovan. They also worked their magic on hits for the likes of Donna Summer, Bananarama, Cliff Richard and Paul McCartney. 

In 1987/88 they became artists themselves when they released three singles, the most successful being the classic, Roadblock. In 2009 a digital bundle was released under the banner Stock Aitken Waterman featuring Lisa Fabien. The song was Better Than Ever, the original version of the song that would eventually end up as a Sonia B side.
