1992

Despite Matt Aitken no longer in partnership - Mike Stock and Pete Waterman carried on regardless and in 1992, started to see some return for their hard work.

The year started well enough with Kylie Minogue enjoying her highest chart placing in 2 years with GIVE ME JUST A LITTLE MORE TIME reaching #2. She followed this up with the final lift from the LET'S GET TO IT  album, FINER FEELINGS making #16. In the Autumn she released her "GREATEST HITS" album which went straight into the charts at #1. A final 2 singles were taken from this retrospective, WHAT KIND OF FOOL #14 and her final PWL single, CELEBRATION #20.

Sadly, worthy tracks like Nancy Davis' IF YOU BELONGED TO ME and Fresh's DID I SAY TI AMO? missed the chart completely, as did the cover of "Summer Holiday" by adult comic Viz characters the Fat Slags. Further singles from Boy Krazy and Pat & Mick also failed to chart.

Bananarama returned to PWL as a duo to record their "PLEASE YOURSELF" album. First single MOVIN' ON returned them to the Top 40 reaching #24 but the follow up, later Steps smash hit - LAST THING ON MY MIND only got to #71.

The year ended on a successful note with the American wrestling phenomenon, WWF Superstars blasting straight in at #4 and spending a total of 9 weeks on the chart.
